Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

AdLeS is an e-learning system designed in-house to support you in your personalised learning journey. AdLeS uses the adaptive learning technology to address your learning gaps by automatically providing individual support such as hints and feedback, thereby making learning more effective.

AdLeS acts like a one-on-one instructor to each learner. So there may have multiple learners taking the same course, but the content they see is based entirely on their current knowledge levels and experience.

AdLeS begins with an intitial diagnostic assessment. When you have completed the dignostic assessment, you can then access to the topical learning materials and assessments. This continues until the last topic has been completed.

Some courses may have a few parts and will only be accessible at a certain point of time. You should always take note of the deadlines, i.e., date and time each part is available and ended. The process for each part is similar - to begin with an initial diagnostic assessment, followed by topical learning materials and assessments.

For an optimal learning experience, consider interacting with AdLeS using a laptop or a computing device with a larger screen, along with standard materials (e.g., paper, pencil, calculator) in a condusive environment. Please use secure and updated browers and ensure that cookies are enabled.

If you have completed AdLeS, your results will be displayed on Canvas at a later date following the AdLeS deadline.

It is possible that you have only completed the initial diagnostics assessment of AdLeS and have not completed the other parts of AdLeS. Do ensure you have completed ALL parts of AdLeS to receive the scores.
